Bike Fitting

Improve Your Comfort & Performance

Regardless of what type of cycling you enjoy, you'll benefit from a bike that has been properly adjusted to fit your body and your riding style. Our certified fit specialists will discuss your cycling history and goals. We'll then work with you to determine your ideal riding position.

With a professional bike fit, you can be more comfortable, more efficient, and more powerful on every ride. You’ll also be less likely to sustain injuries on a bike that has been expertly configured to meet your needs.

Anyone who plans to spend any length of time riding a bicycle will benefit greatly from a professional bike fit. Whether you are a weekend warrior riding 15 miles on the bike path, an avid cyclist preparing for your 10th Pan Mass Challenge, or you are preparing for your next Ironman triathlon, a proper fit can:

  • Improve overall rider comfort
  • Help prevent cycling-induced repetitive stress injuries
  • Reduce or eliminate back, knee, neck and wrist pain
  • Reduce or eliminate “hot foot”
  • Reduce or eliminate saddle discomfort and genital numbness
  • Reduce or eliminate numbness in the hands and fingers
  • Reduce rider fatigue
  • Help you get more enjoyment out of cycling

A good fit can also improve riding performance, because it allows the rider to use multiple muscle groups in the most effective and efficient manner.

The ideal time to get a bike fit is before you buy a bike, so you can select one that is best suited to your body geometry and riding preferences. No one wants to spend thousand(s) on a bike that isn't right for them. But if you’re not in the market for a new bike, that’s okay too. A bike fit can also give you the optimum riding position for use on your current bike.

Our Guru dynamic bike fits range between $150-$350. It might sound expensive, but dollar-for-dollar it's the best thing you can do to improve your cycling. And if you decide to buy a bike from us after your fit, we'll give you $ credits toward your new bike purchase (see below)!

Guru Fit

We are proud to leverage the latest Guru Dynamic Fit Unit (DFU), the most advanced bike fit system in the world, and a Guru-certified fitter on staff. Unlike other fit systems, the Guru DFU makes adjustments in real-time so you can instantly feel the difference that even small changes make. This is critical because it's very difficult to compare, for example, a 5mm difference in saddle height if you have to get off the bike to alter the position. All of Guru's measurements can be adjusted in real-time so you can experiment with saddle height, handlebar height, stem length, etc. while getting immediate and accurate feedback. The Guru system also delivers a personalized fit report that outlines your exact riding position coordinates and tailored bike recommendations (from a database with over 10,000 bike models) to match your riding preferences.

We utilize a full complement of Sidas fitting tools to offer the most comprehensive shoe purchasing experience in New England.  The analysis process determines your foots exact needs to achieve the best performing fit profile.  Check out this video to see some of the cutting edge technology that we use.

If the Shoe Fits

For maximum power transfer on the road or trail and for exceptional comfort on a spin bike, we recommend clipless cycling shoes and pedals. With stiffer soles and the ability to click into and out of your pedal system easily, cycling shoes make your ride and your workout more efficient, more effective, and more comfortable. Never get stuck in a toe cage again!
